COLOR IS LIGHT AND LIGHT IS COLOR
The sun emits light at different frequencies. These frequencies can be separated by a process called refraction. When light passes through a crystal prism, it refracts and splits into the seven colors of the spectrum, where each color has its own frequency.
If the separated colors pass through another prism, they will form white light. The first to demonstrate this phenomenon at the end of the 17th century was Isaac Newton, the great British physicist.
COLOR WAVELENGTHS AND FREQUENCIES
Energy travels in waves. The distance between successive waves is called a wavelength and the number of times a wave oscillates in one second is called the frequency. The general rule states that the longer the wavelength, the lower the frequency. Each color has its own specific frequency and has its own individual wavelength and therefore its own specific effects.
Violet has the shortest wavelength while red has the longest. Beyond violet is ultraviolet which, although invisible to the human eye, can pass through our bodies.
Ultraviolet gives us a tan and kills bacteria. The longest wavelength on the other side of the spectrum is red. Beyond red is infrared followed by microwaves, radar, radio and television wavelengths, all of which are invisible to the human eye.
Red, orange and yellow carry longer wavelengths and seem to reach the eye faster than colors at the other end of the spectrum. They are called warm colors and are often associated with fire and the sun.
Green, blue and purple are perceived as cool colors. They travel in shorter wavelengths, so they seem to take longer to reach our eyes. They evoke the seas and rivers, the sky and the freshness of dawn in winter.
Each warm color has its complementary cool color, paired as follows: red – blue, orange – indigo, yellow – violet, green – red (magenta).
BIOPTRON light is polarized; the electromagnetic waves of polarized light oscillate only in parallel planes, thus making this light very penetrating. No ultraviolet rays and no substantial heat are produced: Bioptron light therapy devices are safe, with no negative side effects.
Chromotherapy and light therapy aim to treat the cause of an illness rather than its symptoms, working to create balance in the body by stimulating physical and emotional conditions.
This colored light set is based on 2 principles of chromotherapy - the concept of stimulation of pressure points and chakras - offering the benefits of light and 7 colored filters.
COLOR CHAKRA THERAPY
Health depends on balancing not only our physical needs, but also our emotional, mental and spiritual needs. The principle of color chakra therapy is based on the assumption that colors are associated with seven main chakras, which are spiritual centers in our body located along the spine. These chakras are like spirals of energy, each relating to a specific area.
Chakra (pronounced sha-kra) is the Sanskrit word for "wheel". The chakras are believed to store and distribute energy. There are seven of these chakras and each is associated with a particular organ or system in the body.
Each chakra has a dominant color, which can become unbalanced. If this happens, it can cause disorder and physical ramifications. By introducing the appropriate color, the mess is considered improved.
